On November 6, 2025, Appalachian State University made history as Skyworx Drone Shows delivered the school’s first-ever drone light show during halftime of the Mountaineers’ matchup against Georgia Southern. The sky over Boone, NC came alive with 250 drones forming vivid animations, school-themed designs, and sponsor messages that captivated fans across the stadium.
A First-of-Its-Kind Collaboration
The drone show was fully synchronized with a live performance by the Appalachian State University Marching Mountaineers. This created a groundbreaking fusion of aerial technology and marching band artistry. As the band delivered its halftime program, the drones above mirrored the energy and emotion of the music for an experience unlike anything seen before.
