United States Conference of Mayors Show

Skyworx Drone Shows put on a show in Kansas City, Missouri for Quinton Lucas and the 92nd Annual United States Conference of Mayors. The venue was at the brand new Kansas City Current stadium, an awesome venue for Mayor Q to host the USCM. “The stadium was really impressive,” said Jesse Cordtz, Creative Director at Skyworx. The show was full of different designs specific to the city, with mascots of several nearby institutions being flown, as well as a full sized rendition of Mayor Q in the sky. These kinds of events continue to illustrate the broad applications of drone show technology, replacing fireworks with purposeful designs that leave a lasting impression. Political venues and conferences marry perfectly with drone shows, as Skyworx is able to convey a message beyond simple concussive blasts.

As for the Kansas City Drone Show itself, we had some weather worries, but came through in the end. “We were barely missed by a thunderstorm that passed right over us,” said Alden Skeie, the on site pilot in command. “The show flew really well and the weather held up, but right as we started packing up the rain came down hard.” Nonetheless, we were able to keep our drones safe, and went on to prepare for the next show. Skyworx is glad to have been able to take part in the 92nd Annual United States Conference of Mayors in such an important year, and look forward to taking part in more venues like this.

The USCM passed several important resolutions in their 92nd annual meeting, including but not limited to:

The work that took place at this conference is sure to have a substantive effect on the quality of life of every American, and Skyworx Drone Shows is truly honored to have taken part.
